Celebrate National Public Gardens Week in America’s Garden Capital May 13 - 19, 2019

Celebrate extraordinary horticulture and the region’s public gardens during National Public Gardens Week, May 13-19. Thirty-six public gardens located throughout the Greater Philadelphia region provide visitors with more gardens in close proximity than anywhere else on the continent.

Everyone is invited to start their journey through America’s Garden Capital by picking up a copy of the newly launched Passport organized by geographic region. The free Passport is a handy pocket-sized guide that provides need-to-know information, must-visit experiences at each garden, and a link to access online garden itineraries. Treasure your garden memories by collecting stamps, stickers, code words, and staff signatures, and draw your own pictures at each of the gardens. Passports are available at all 36 gardens, while supplies last.

National Public Gardens Week was created by the American Public Gardens Association and promotes the important role of public gardens in providing beauty and respite to more than 70 million people annually.

Many of this region’s public gardens host events and activities in celebration of National Public Gardens Week.
